Is Keplars secure and reliable?

Keplars infrastructure is hosted across Leaseweb data centers and Amazon Web Services (AWS) to provide a balance of performance, reliability, and global availability. We use multiple layers of infrastructure redundancy and security practices to ensure consistent service delivery.

Infrastructure & Hosting

  • Keplars runs on Leaseweb and AWS cloud infrastructure, leveraging geographically distributed systems.
  • Systems are designed with redundancy to minimize downtime and handle failures gracefully.
  • Leaseweb data centers follow industry standards such as ISO 27001, PCI DSS, and SOC frameworks, ensuring strong baseline security controls.
  • AWS infrastructure provides additional safeguards for data protection, availability, and network security.

Security Practices

  • All communication with Keplars (API, dashboard, and email endpoints) is secured using HTTPS / TLS encryption.
  • Sensitive credentials (such as passwords and API keys) are stored using secure hashing and encryption practices.
  • API keys can be rotated or revoked at any time.
  • Internal systems are protected with controlled access and monitored environments.

Data Handling

  • Keplars acts as a data processor, while customers remain responsible for the data they send.
  • Email content may be temporarily stored for delivery, tracking, and debugging purposes.
  • We do not guarantee encryption of email content at rest within our system.
  • Customers should avoid sending sensitive or regulated data unless they have ensured proper compliance.

Access Control

  • Access to infrastructure and data is restricted to authorized personnel only.
  • Access is granted strictly on a need-to-know basis.
  • Internal access and operations follow strict confidentiality practices.

Redundancy & Backups

  • Infrastructure is designed with redundancy across compute, storage, and network layers.
  • Data is stored across distributed systems with failover protection.
  • Backups are performed regularly and stored securely to support recovery.

Compliance & Certifications

  • Keplars itself is not currently SOC 2, HIPAA, or ISO certified.
  • However, underlying infrastructure providers (Leaseweb and AWS) maintain industry-recognized security and compliance standards.
  • Customers are responsible for ensuring their usage complies with applicable laws and regulations.

Email Data & Retention

  • Email events (deliveries, opens, clicks, bounces) may be stored for analytics and debugging.
  • Retention duration may vary depending on system configuration.
  • Keplars may access email data when necessary for system integrity, debugging, or abuse prevention.

Employee Policies

  • Only a limited number of team members have access to production systems.
  • All team members are expected to follow strict security and confidentiality practices.
  • Access is audited and controlled to reduce risk of unauthorized exposure.

Reporting a Security Issue
